Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL Driver in Charlotte, NC. The CDL Driver will provide exceptional customer service and perform deliveries using a Moffett forklift while maintaining warehouse organization.

Ideal candidates will hold a CDL A license with a clean driving record, possess customer service skills, and be capable of lifting boxes up to 70 pounds. The position offers great benefits including medical, dental, and tuition reimbursement.

A Day in the Life at Lansing Driver

CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location). HOME EVERY NIGHT!

CDL Driver Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement
• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses an Moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer–and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• Performs other functions such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

• CDL A license is required for this position
• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record
• Have Moffett forklift experience
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus – and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
