Job summary

QXO is seeking a skilled truck driver to join our team in Texas. You will handle touch-freight, inspect loads, and ensure safe loading/unloading at job sites while maintaining strict safety and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with dispatch, verifying loads, and performing pre-inspections. Requires a Class A CDL with Hazmat, 12+ months driving experience, and comfort with outdoor work in all weather.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL license and Hazmat endorsement.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and follow safety procedures.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team with reliable communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks and lifting/carrying products up to 75 lbs+.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify load accuracy.
• Notify management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect sites for safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE.

What You’ll Do

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE

What You’ll Bring

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing
• Must Have Hazmat!
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
