Summary/Objective:

The driver is responsible for transporting finished chassis to the customer.

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Observe all safety rules and policies maintained by the company
• Perform final inspection of finished chassis and repair minor defects
• Prepare finished chassis for transportation through appropriate stabilization and safety procedures
• Deliver finished chassis to customer following approved routes and specified areas
• Unload chassis at destination using approved procedures
• Coordinate necessary paperwork during departure, delivery, and return
• Handle miscellaneous goods as necessary or assigned
• Rotate positions within the production team as needed
• Assist in repair work as necessary
• Maintain good housekeeping practices at all times

• Work effectively as part of a team to achieve company goals
• Demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills in English
• Read and process written communication including work orders and measurements
• Meet production goals and deadlines
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate competency in transportation and over-the-road responsibilities
• Possess welding skills and knowledge of welding systems
• Rotate to other production roles as needed
• Operate Lift Truck or Tractor as necessary
• Exhibit problem-solving skills
• Maintain professionalism and good relationships with supervisors, colleagues, and customers
• Work under stressful conditions
• Prioritize tasks and adapt to changes easily

Qualifications:

Lift Truck Operator's License preferred (training available)

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities upon hiring

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and lift/move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required, supplied by the company or provided additionally by employees.
