Job summary

Dexter is seeking a professional commercial truck driver to join our team in the United States. You will operate flatbed equipment and deliver trailer parts across intercity routes, ensuring timely arrivals and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include tarping loads, recording cargo details, and maintaining logs while adhering to traffic laws and safety procedures. A valid Class A CDL, 1 year of driving experience, and a clean record are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL Required.
• 1 year experience, including manual.
• Proven working experience as a commercial truck driver.
• Clean driving record - No DWI/DUI in the last 10 years.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Flatbed experience preferred.
• Deliver trailer and trailer products while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several states to customers timely.
• Must be willing and able to tarp loads as needed.
• Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
• Drive flatbed truck long distances.
• Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Inspect their trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Keep a log of activities.
• Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Take rest periods during trip, take special precautions while driving.
