Job description

Job Summary: Residential Driver needed in Conroe, TX, US, to operate a heavy-duty truck within residential areas for garbage collection.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate vehicle in accordance with Live Oak Environmental Company, LLC Safety Rules, OSHA, DOT, and all local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
2. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and document checks on DVIR.
3. Report unsafe situations or service issues immediately to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
4. Attend all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings required by Live Oak Waste.
5. Work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
6. Notify Route Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
7. Report service interruptions, blocked containers, closed lots, safety hazards to Route Manager or Dispatch.
8. Communicate customer requests to Route Manager or Dispatch.
9. Identify and report containers needing repair or replacement.
10. Complete and submit customer tickets as required.
11. Follow route assignments, complete end-of-day documentation, and checkout processes.
12. Assist other drivers and perform scheduled duties as directed by Route Manager or Dispatch.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL.
• Current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Other Requirements:

• Acceptable driving record.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Successfully pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical.

Physical and Work Environment:

• Must be able to exert physical effort handling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Required to push, pull, bend, twist, and lift as needed.
• Work primarily outdoors, exposed to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, and similar elements.

Compensation: $20 - $23 hourly.
