Job summary

LTL Enterprises LLC in Clifton, NJ seeks an experienced truck driver for our supply chain logistics department. You will transport goods between warehouses, inspect trucks, and ensure timely deliveries.

You will plan routes, log hours, and comply with regulations while maintaining safety and accuracy in documentation. Union benefits and PTO are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a truck driver.
• Valid CDL Class A with airbrake license.
• Willing to undergo background and drug checks.
• Union membership in good standing is required by the Local Union.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from warehouses and distribution centers.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers driven; retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Input data into our automated system for loading/unloading stages.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations and company policies.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations.

Description

Growing warehousing operation in Clifton, NJ looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from warehouses and distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Requirements

• Must become and remain member in good standing of the Local Union
• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Must have a CDL Class A
• Must have airbrake license
• Hands‑on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.)
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
• Touch Freight experience
• Willing to submit background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
• Valid truck driving license
• PTO and Benefits provided by the Local Union
