Job summary

MaineGuide in Portland, ME is seeking a reliable CDL Class B truck driver to support regional transportation across New York, New Jersey, Long Island and the Hudson Valley. You will operate company vehicles to move materials and equipment between facilities and job sites with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of Class B experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to perform daily vehicle inspections.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B driver's license required.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• 2–3 years of Class B driving experience preferred.
• Experience with flatbeds, box trucks, or hauling construction materials is a plus.
• Comfortable working in outdoor conditions and active job-site environments.
• Flexibility for early morning shifts and occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate rack body, box, and pick-up trucks safely and efficiently.
• Travel regionally between NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey about 2–3 times per week.
• Support routes within the Hudson Valley and occasional trips to Syracuse, NY.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Pick up, verify, transport, and deliver materials and equipment as instructed.
• Handle mid-size equipment loads such as AC units and dehumidifiers.
• Load and unload cargo in the yard and at job sites; assist with loading and offloading.
• Complete and verify delivery and vehicle paperwork accurately.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and ensure safety policy compliance.
• Assist the Yard Foreman with labor and warehouse tasks after driving duties.
• Take daily direction from the Supply & Equipment Coordinator.
• Support basic tool repair as needed.

Responsibilities /Essential Functions

• Operate rack body, box, and pick-up trucks safely and efficiently.
