Job summary

QXO is seeking a CDL Driver (Class A) to safely transport building materials to customer locations and job sites. The role includes loading, unloading, securing loads, and ensuring DOT/FMCSA compliance. Provides safety-focused, customer-oriented service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, may require lifting, carrying, or moving products.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site for safety during loading/unloading.
• Maintain communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely deliveries.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE.

What you'll do:

The CDL Driver (Class A) is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional transportation of building materials, construction products, and equipment to customer locations and job sites. This role combines commercial driving responsibilities with hands-on support in loading, unloading, securing, and verifying materials while ensuring compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety standards. Depending on the business unit, deliveries may include oversized, specialized, or engineered building components. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, customer-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE

What you'll bring:
