Job summary

QXO is seeking a qualified delivery driver to join our Charleston, SC operations. You will load, inspect, and transport building products, ensuring on-time delivery and accuracy of loads, while maintaining safety protocols.

Responsibilities include pre-inspecting trucks, communicating with dispatch, and following DOT and company safety procedures. Valid CDL and 12 months driving experience required; outdoor work in all weather is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid Class A CDL in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment; willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch‑freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre‑inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
