Job description

Based in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, the H&K Equipment Group of companies is the region's leading material handling equipment dealer that specializes in the selling, leasing, refurbishing and servicing of industrial equipment and mobile construction machinery including forklift trucks, container handlers, railcar movers, industrial floor sweepers and scrubbers, yard spotter trucks and even high-end granite countertops. We have five companies and eleven locations throughout Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Allentown, Syracuse, and New Hampshire and employ over 350 people.

We are actively seeking an experienced Class A CDL Driver to add to our team. A minimum of 3 years’ experience delivering heavy equipment, industrial fasteners, parts, and other industrial equipment locally and throughout the Mid-Atlantic markets. Hours can vary depending on the customer’s needs day to day.

JOB DUTIES CONSIST OF BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Deliver, load and unload parts and equipment for customers.
• Instruct customers on equipment operation and location of O&M guide.
• Recommend equipment and related items to customers.
• Perform vehicle inspections daily, as well as checking gas, oil, and other fluid levels.
• Top off and record fluid levels as necessary and grease all joints on trailers.
• Complete the necessary paperwork for vehicle inspections and turn it in to supervisor daily.
• Maintain accurate, detailed delivery and pickup records.
• Assist in the shipping and receiving department when not out on delivery.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Class A CDL.
• Must have clean, safe driving record.
• Oversized load experience.
• Lo-Boy experience.
• Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and physical exam.
• Know specifics & applications of rental equipment inventory, so you can answer questions upon delivery.
• Familiar with equipment hauling and DOT requirements and regulations.
• The work is typically very physical and demanding, both from strength requirements and the stamina required.
