Job summary

Memorial Blood Centers in Minnesota is seeking a CDL driver to transport bloodmobiles and support community blood drives. This role combines driving with customer service to ensure donors have a smooth, friendly experience.

You will handle on-site setup, drive safely, and return vehicles to the garage, maintaining supplies and vehicle cleanliness. Training is provided; a valid CDL (Class A or B) with air brakes and a current DOT medical card are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid/Current CDL (Class A or Class B with Airbrakes) is required.
• Current Medical Card and ability to pass a DOT Physical is required.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and push rolling equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, transport, unload, load and return vehicles before and after assigned blood drives.
• Begin Day: Mobile Preparation and Site Setup for a Blood Drive.
• During Drive: Provide customer service, on-site recruitment for donors, and automation recruitment.
• End of Drive: Site takedown and safe transport of products to the center.
• Maintain inventory of supplies on vehicles and keep vehicles clean.
• Perform donor-focused customer service during blood drives.

Summary:

Do you enjoy meeting new people? Do you want to support the health of your community? DOT Drivers at Memorial Blood Centers see new faces every day while supporting community blood drives that keep hospitals stocked with lifesaving blood.

This position is a unique opportunity to use a range of your CDL skills by transporting bloodmobiles as well as employing customer service skills to ensure successful blood drives. Drivers will ensure safe and on-time delivery of the vehicle to the scheduled site followed by return to the garage. Maintains adequate inventory of supplies on vehicles and ensure that vehicles are clean. Perform customer service role during blood drives. Completes all duties in a professional manner, including transportin units, samples, and donor medical records to the processing center.

Schedule:Hours vary between 4:30am - 10:00pm with rotating weekends. Flexibleschedule needed. Local driving, home nightly.

Job Responsibilities:

Upon completion of your paid training, you will be able to:

The hourly rate for this position is $27/hr. (plus applicable shift differentials)

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

License:

Valid/Current CDL (Class AOR Class B w/ Airbrakes)

Current Medical Card / ability to pass a DOT Physical

Physical:

Ability to lift 40lbs and able to push rolling equipment

Preferred Skills:

2 years driving trucks, buses, coaches, or larger cargo vehicles

Excellent driving record free of any accidents of moving violations within the past 3 years
