Job summary

Hawkins, Inc. is seeking delivery drivers to load and unload products for customers in a safe, timely, and courteous manner. The role requires knowledge of equipment, DOT compliance, and accurate documentation. Training for CDL and tanker/HAZMAT endorsements is provided as needed.

Travel ranges 0–20%, with compensation of $25.00-27.00 per hour plus a 5% bonus eligibility. Comprehensive benefits are offered to eligible employees and their dependents.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years of driving experience is required.
• Current Class B CDL or ability to obtain with tanker and HAZMAT endorsements.
• Satisfactory driving record.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills; MS Office knowledge required; prior MRP/ERP experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks to deliver products.
• Know the equipment and processes for handling, storing, shipping and transporting hazardous materials per DOT standards.
• Complete required shipping, receiving and inventory paperwork accurately.
• Provide routine maintenance and inspection of vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to product quality and safety standards and report safety incidents.
• Communicate compliance, safety, and equipment needs to supervisors.
• Operate independently while following SOPs and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as needed.
