Job summary

Best Buy Metals is seeking a professional delivery driver to operate local day routes and deliver metal roofing products. This role involves driving Cummins-powered medium-duty trucks, performing safe loading and unloading, and maintaining excellent customer interactions on a daily basis.

You must be 21+, hold a valid CDL-A, maintain a clean MVR, and comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations. The position offers Monday–Friday schedules, weekly pay, 401(k) plan, PTO, and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older with valid Commercial Class A CDL.
• Willing to obtain Medical Certificate if you don’t have one.
• Clean driving record (MVR).
• Registered with FMCSA.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs+ and handle loading/unloading.
• Comfortable working alone on the road.
• Experience maneuvering trailers over 25 ft in remote areas and tight spaces.
• Demonstrates situational awareness and safe driving around customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate accountability with reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety.
• Maintain logs per DOT/FMCSA regulations when required.
• Safely load and secure materials for transport using hand or tools.
• Provide friendly, professional communication with customers before, during, and after delivery.
• Deliver materials with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring the job is done right the first time.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate accountability and commitment through unmatched attendance and punctuality.
• Complete Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections to ensure your equipment is safe to operate.
• When necessary, manage and maintain logs per regulations established by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)
• Safely load and secure materials to be transported/delivered whether by hand or using machinery and tools
• Provide friendly and professional communication with our customers prior to, during and after delivery
• Deliver materials with accuracy and efficiency, making sure the job is done right the first time

Are you the right cut? Our ideal candidate would:

• Be at least 21 years old with a valid Commercial Class A (CDL) driver’s license.
• Be willing to obtain a Medical Certificate if not already in possession of current one.
• Hold a clean MVR
• Be registered with the FMCSA
• Be able to bend, squat, twist, push-pull, and lift materials exceeding 50lbs in weight.
• Be confident and comfortable with working by yourself once you’re out and on the road.
• Be experienced with maneuvering trailers more than 25 feet in remote areas and tight quarters.
• Demonstrate situational awareness and keen decision-making skills while operating commercial equipment at customer residences and businesses.
• Interact with our customers in a fun, fast and professional manner to create a positive experience and lasting impression.
