Job summary

Sterling Crane LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a CDL Crane Rigger for our Billings, MT branch to support heavy-lift operations. You will perform rigging prechecks, ensure equipment meets safety standards, and assist with hauling materials between sites while following crane signals from operators.

The role requires 3+ years’ rigger experience, OSHA awareness, and strong math skills. Overtime, weekend, and holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL preferred.
• NCCER or NCCCO crane rigger certification – preferred.
• 3+ years of previous experience as a rigger.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Successfully pass post‑offer drug and physical screens and have a background that meets company requirements.
• Strong knowledge of math applications, weights, measurements, equipment capacity limitations, and weight limits.
• Previous experience using crane hand signals.
• Team player with excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• Employee will be required to stand, walk, bend, squat, sit, and lift for large periods.
• Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move a minimum of 65 lbs.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE.
• Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects/materials.
• Must be comfortable working at elevated heights.

Hourly: $30 – $40 – DOE+.
