Job summary

Sterling Crane LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a CDL Crane Rigger for our Fort Collins, CO location to assist crane operators by preparing loads and rigging for safe lifts. You will position loads, signal operators, and help ensure work is performed to Sterling Crane standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years rigger experience, OSHA knowledge, and the ability to pass post-offer screenings. CDL is preferred; pay ranges $30–$40/hour plus benefits.

Sterling Crane LLC, part of Marmon Holdings (a Berkshire Hathaway company), is one of North America’s leading heavy lift providers, operating and bare rentals, sales, parts, and service.

We are looking for a CDL Crane Rigger at our FT. Collins, CO branch to assist the crane operator in the preparation of moving heavy materials, equipment, and the building of mobile cranes.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure all applicable rigging meets safety requirements and Sterling Crane standards during the precheck process.
• Haul materials and equipment between job sites.
• Signal crane operator during lifts for directional or placement instructions.
• Guide and position loads as necessary at elevated heights.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL preferred.
• NCCER or NCCCO crane rigger certification – preferred.
• 3+ years previous experience as a rigger.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Successfully pass post‑offer drug and physical screens and have a background that meets company requirements.
• Strong knowledge of math applications, weights, measurements, equipment capacity limitations and weight limits.
• Problem‑solving skills and critical thinking to resolve and identify safety issues.
• Previous experience using crane hand signals.
• Team player who has excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
• Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move a minimum of 65 lbs.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE.
• Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects/materials.
• Must be comfortable working at elevated heights.

Hourly Pay

$30 - $40 DOE (preferred). 27.00 - 33.00.
