Job summary

QXO, a leading distributor and installer of building products based in Florida, is seeking a CDL driver in Vero Beach. You will perform touch-freight tasks, inspect and load trucks, and ensure safety and on-time delivery under DOT guidelines.

The role requires a valid Class A or B CDL, 12+ months of verifiable driving experience, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. Team collaboration and independent work are both essential to success.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Conveyor truck experience preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe loading/unloading environment.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher for timely delivery.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and wear PPE.
