Job summary

QXO is seeking a CDL driver in Wichita to join our building products team. You will transport and load materials, ensuring safe handling and accurate deliveries for our customers. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and strong communication with dispatch.

Ideal candidates have a Class A/B CDL, at least 1 year of verifiable driving experience, and are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. We support growth and safety with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CDL Class A or B in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect sites for safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE.

What You'll Do

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE

What You'll Bring

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Conveyor truck experience preferred
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
