Job summary

Gourmet Foods International is seeking a professional CDL Class B truck driver to safely deliver customer orders on dedicated routes. You will perform pre-trip inspections, monitor load temperatures, unload deliveries, obtain signatures, and handle backhauls as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections and verify routes, product counts and safety checks per DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Safely drive and deliver customer orders following federal, state, and company protocols.
• Maintain proper load temperatures per product specs; unload by hand or hand truck.
• Verify deliveries, obtain signatures, collect payments when required, and communicate discrepancies.
• Manage backhauls per dispatch instructions and load efficiency.
• Complete post-trip tasks and vehicle safety checks; ensure secure parking.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and report accidents or equipment damage promptly.
