Job summary

Gourmet Foods International is seeking a full-time CDL driver for Kenosha, WI. You will perform pre-trip inspections, drive routes, and deliver orders to customers with strict adherence to DOT/FMCSA regulations and company procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining load temperatures, unloading goods, securing signatures, and handling payments or discrepancies. Benefits include health/dental/vision, 401k match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• CDL license Class A or B as required by route.
• Refrigeration experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull 75 lbs.
• Must be punctual and able to work shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Performing all pre-trip responsibilities, including checking route numbers and account numbers for assigned deliveries, counting items and checking customer invoices of products that have been loaded, and performing the "pre-trip safety check" inspection of truck and trailer according to DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Driving to and delivering customer orders following all DOT/FMCSA, state regulations, and GFI procedures and protocols
• Maintaining load temperatures according to load specifications
• Unloading products from the trailer with a hand truck or by hand and placing them in designated customer storage areas.
• Verifying delivery of items with customers and obtaining proper signatures; collecting money (cash or checks) when required; contacting management for authorization when discrepancies on the invoice and communicating all errors/returns.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum age of 21.
• Valid CDL License (Class A or B, depending on route requirements)
• Refrigeration experience required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ascend and descend a step up to 17 inches from the floor.
• Climb up and down 3 rungs of a ladder, with the first rung at 21 inches from the ground.
• Consistent, regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Employees must be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to support business and operational needs.
