Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Truck Driver to transport and deliver construction equipment in a safe, professional manner. The role includes operating both commercial and non-commercial vehicles, performing DOT inspections, and maintaining delivery documentation.

You will work closely with dispatch and customers, upholding safety and company procedures. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of driving experience or CDL, and a valid Medical Card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of verifiable driving experience or a CDL license.
• Valid Medical Card.
• Trailer towing or Rollback experience preferred.
• Hauling experience preferred.
• Construction equipment operating experience preferred.
• Able to perform basic physical tasks (lifting 50lbs+).

Responsibilities

• Transport, deliver and retrieve construction materials and heavy equipment.
• Operate commercial and non-commercial vehicles.
• Perform DOT-required pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain delivery documents for inspection.
• Secure equipment using chaining, strapping and binding per DOT procedures.
• Communicate with Branch Manager or dispatch about schedules and delays.
• Uphold Herc Rentals Safety culture and safety of people.
• Follow company procedures and protocols.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
