Job summary

Herc Rentals in Savannah, GA is looking for a Truck Driver to transport, deliver, and retrieve construction equipment safely and on time. You will operate both commercial and non-commercial vehicles and perform required DOT inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience, or a valid CDL.
• Valid DOT medical card.
• Trailer towing or rollback experience preferred.
• Hauling experience preferred.
• Construction equipment operating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport, deliver, and retrieve various construction materials and heavy equipment.
• Operate commercial and non-commercial vehicles.
• Perform DOT-required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Properly maintain delivery documents for inspection upon request.
• Secure construction equipment and other loads using chaining, strapping, and binding in strict accordance with established DOT procedures.
• Maintain open communication with the Branch Manager and/or central dispatch regarding delivery schedules, delays, traffic conditions, weather, and other factors.
• Actively participate in the Herc Rentals safety culture, always prioritizing the safety of people.
• Follow all company procedures and protocols.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
