FedEx Freight in Wisconsin seeks a straight truck operator to move freight between service centers and customer locations. The role includes dock duties, forklift operation, and handling of freight with proper safety practices.

Qualifications

• Must possess Class B CDL or Commercial Learning Permit (CLP) prior to entering job classification; automatic transmission CDL restriction allowed.
• Must possess acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regulations 391.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Ability to read and understand route schedules.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds several times a week.
• Ability to sit for extended periods, bend, twist, squat, climb in/out of truck.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections.
• Handle freight with forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and rope.
• Communicate with Dispatch regarding delays and equipment issues.
• Provide internal/external customer service and gather leads for sales.
