Delivery Driver, Building Materials

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating daily routes with the dispatch team.
• Safely driving delivery vehicles.
• Planning and loading materials, including truck pre-inspections.
• Delivering and unloading materials at various construction sites.
• Operating a full-size Kenworth truck with Moffett, Box Truck, or Transit Van (depending on license and delivery needs).
• Ensuring efficient storage and handling of products.
• Accurately recording inventory movement in and out of the yard.
• Providing excellent service to customers picking up materials and answering questions.
• Collaborating with vendors, customers, and the Preston Feather team to enhance the customer experience.

To succeed in this role, you should:

• Always prioritize safety.
• Use critical thinking to plan and deliver loads efficiently.
• Stay flexible to changing schedules and business needs.
• Effectively use a computer for inventory and delivery tasks.
• Communicate well and listen carefully.
• Perform physically demanding tasks outdoors, lift up to 100 pounds, and stand for long periods.
