Job summary

Halperns' Steak & Seafood in Atlanta, GA is seeking a CDL Class B Driver to deliver Halperns’ products to customers, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries while maintaining professional conduct.

You will communicate customer concerns, monitor equipment, and perform pre/post trip inspections, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. This role requires the ability to operate a van or CMV and to uphold Halperns’ standards in a fast-paced food service environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe, accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of Halperns’ products.
• Follows all company and Department of Transportation (DOT) policies and procedures.
• Builds and maintains good customer relationships. Demonstrates self-control.
• Accurately collects customer payments. Safeguards company funds and follows Halperns’ banking policies.
• Monitors reefer temperature, and reports mechanical issues and damages in a timely manner.
• Completes daily check-ins in a timely manner with no errors.
• Collaborates with management and sales representatives to communicate customer concerns.
• Performs daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicles and equipment. Completes check in process accurately and on time. Manages paperwork to include register, credits, pick-ups, etc
• Maintains the truck cab and trailer in a clean and organized manner
• Attends department meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned.
