Job summary

Builders FirstSource, a leading supplier of building materials and services, is hiring a delivery driver in Michigan. You will operate vehicles over 26,000 pounds, load/unload materials, and provide professional service to customers. The role requires a Class B CDL, a clean MVR, and DOT medical clearance.

Responsibilities include delivering orders, maintaining logs, ensuring accuracy, and adhering to safety procedures. Strong English communication and basic math skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 21+ years old.
• Valid driver's license and a Class B CDL.
• 1 year delivery driving experience; 2+ years CDL preferred.
• Pass MVR report and obtain DOT medical card within 5 days of request.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders to customer sites and position vehicle for loading/unloading.
• Assist with loading/unloading and secure products in vehicle.
• Verify orders, logs, and weights; ensure invoice accuracy.
• Serve as customer liaison and resolve issues as they arise.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks.
• Use handheld devices to comply with DVIR and HOS; complete pre/post trip inspections.
• Possibly perform credit/product returns and forklift operation as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
