What You’ll Do

As a CDL Class A Driver at our Georgia facility, Empire Food, you will operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport goods over designated routes. This regional position involves deliveries to restaurants in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, and the Florida panhandle. 1 to 2 nights overnight travel may be required as dictated by the route.

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle over designated routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting issues promptly.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo safely using proper techniques.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork timely.
• Deliver goods punctually and provide courteous customer service.
• Follow safety regulations, traffic laws, and Hours of Service (HOS) requirements.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and coworkers to coordinate and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record (no more than 3 points in the last 2 years, no at-fault accidents).
• At least 2 years of CDL driving experience.
• Completion of FMCSA-approved training and knowledge of DOT requirements.
• Ability to demonstrate safe driving skills and pass assessments.
• Physical fitness verified by a DOT Medical Exam and Medical Examiner’s Certificate; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays (up to 6 days/week).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pass TSA background check.
• Sign-on bonus payable after 90 days of employment in good standing; bonus forfeited if employment ends before 180 days.
