PURPOSE

Responsible for driving delivery vehicles and/or operating truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites. Adheres to safety and compliance regulations, delivers undamaged goods on schedule, and provides professional customer service. Drives vehicles weighing over 26,000 pounds and may tow trailers over 10,000 pounds.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

1. Load or assist with loading and securing products inside the delivery vehicle.
2. Deliver customer orders, maneuver vehicles into loading/unloading positions, and assist with unloading safely and accurately.
3. Verify order details, maintain delivery logs, and check items against invoices for accuracy.
4. Serve as a customer service liaison, handle concerns, and resolve issues.
5. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks.
6. Use handheld devices (except while driving) for compliance with DVIR and HOS.
7. Maintain hours of service logs and perform pre/post trip inspections.
8. Perform credit or product return pickups and related paperwork.
9. Operate forklifts or non-motorized equipment for loading/unloading.
10. Observe safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid driver’s license, Class A CDL, minimum 1-year delivery driving experience (2 years preferred), pass MVR, obtain DOT medical card, basic math and measurement skills, and English proficiency.

Work Environment / Physical Activity

Work involves temperature variations, chemicals, noise, dust, and physical tasks such as lifting up to 100 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 200 pounds with assistance. Must operate vehicles physically and safely.
