Job summary

Herc Rentals in Houston, TX is seeking a Tractor Trailer Driver - District Driver to transport, deliver, and retrieve construction equipment in a safe, timely manner while supporting branch operations.

Responsibilities include pre/post trip inspections, load securement, and maintaining delivery paperwork. Requires CDL A with tanker endorsement, current medical card, and hazmat endorsement within 120 days of employment. Pay range $30–$35 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years tractor trailer driving experience in the last 3 years.
• CDL Class A with tanker endorsement.
• Current medical card.
• Hazmat endorsement must be obtained within 120 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Transport, deliver and retrieve construction and heavy equipment.
• Operate commercial or non-commercial vehicles safely and professionally.
• Maintain professional customer service and drive safely.
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after pickups and deliveries.
• Keep delivery documents accurate and available for inspection.
• Coordinate with Branch Manager/CDC for delivery schedules.
• Observe safety rules at job sites and facilities.
• Provide training to customers on safe operation of vehicles or machinery.
