Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Tractor Trailer Driver to transport, deliver and retrieve construction equipment while supporting branch operations in a professional and safe manner. You will operate both commercial and non‑commercial vehicles and maintain strong customer service throughout daily duties.

The role requires a CDL Class A with tanker endorsement, hazmat endorsement within 120 days, and a current medical card.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years tractor trailer driving in the last 3 years preferred.
• CDL Class A with tanker endorsement required.
• Current medical card required.
• Hazmat endorsement must be obtained within 120 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Transport, deliver and retrieve construction and heavy equipment.
• Operate commercial or non-commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism.
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain delivery documents for inspection by management or authorities.
• Communicate delivery schedules with Branch Manager/Dispatch.
• Secure equipment via chains/straps under DOT procedures.
• Report any damage or accidents to Branch Manager or Central Dispatch.
• Maintain proper paperwork and logs daily.
