Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking a Class A CDL Route Driver in Johnston, SC. You will safely operate a Class A truck on assigned routes, pick up and deliver used tires, and work with a Route Helper to load and secure loads, while maintaining DOT compliance and accurate documentation.

This full-time role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, professional interaction with customers, and strict adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Valid Class A CDL and ability to operate a Class A truck.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Experience working in a two-person route team.
• Strong communication with customers and dispatch.
• Safety-focused with attention to regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A vehicle on assigned tire collection routes.
• Work with a Route Helper to load and secure tires on the truck.
• Manually handle and stack tires up to 50 pounds.
• Serve as primary contact at customer sites and obtain needed signatures.
• Ensure loads are secured and compliant with safety requirements.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; report issues.
• Complete logs and route paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintain clean, safe operating condition of equipment.
• Coordinate with dispatch regarding route status and issues.
• Navigate routes using maps and GPS while considering traffic and site conditions.
