Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling in Amarillo, TX is hiring a CDL A Route Driver to safely collect and deliver used tires along assigned routes as part of a two-person team. You will load, stack, and secure tires up to 50 pounds, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain DOT compliance and accurate documentation.

This role emphasizes safety, professional customer interactions, and reliable route execution under varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 22 years.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Must meet FMCSA driver qualification requirements.
• DOT standards compliant background.
• DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Motor Vehicle Record compliant with DOT.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on assigned routes to remove used tires from customer locations.
• Work as part of a two-person team with a Route Helper to load, stack, and secure tires.
• Manually handle and stack tires weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Serve as primary contact at customer locations, including obtaining signatures and completing documentation.
• Comply with DOT safety requirements before transport.
• Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route inspections; file DVIRs and report safety concerns.
• Accurately complete DOT logs, route paperwork, and bills of lading.
• Maintain clean, safe, and operational equipment.
• Communicate route status with dispatch and operations staff.
• Navigate routes using maps, GPS, and dispatcher instructions.
• Maintain professional interactions with customers and internal teams.
• Follow Liberty Tire Recycling safety policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as required.
