160 Driving Academy is seeking a CDL Class A Instructor Trainer in Ohio to teach students from pre-trip inspection to CDL exam day, in the yard and behind the wheel. Based at a designated yard, you will train with a team of instructors, cover regional yards as needed, and help maintain a clean, safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class A CDL with at least 24 months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• State-specific instructor licensing requirements must be met.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Class A driving skills in yard and on-road settings.
• Guide students through pre-trip inspections, yard maneuvers, and on-road driving.
• Prepare students to pass CDL testing standards on first attempt.
• Track attendance and progress; maintain training records.
• Report incidents and accidents to lead and corporate in a timely manner.
• Cover for other instructors at nearby regional yards when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable yard and building.
