Waukegan Steel, LLC is a premier steel fabricator serving the Chicagoland area, Indiana and beyond. This Class A CDL Driver role delivers fabricated structural steel and misc.

metals to customers throughout the Chicagoland area and helps move and stage steel in the yard for plant operations. The driver reports to the Logistics Coordinator and works in a facility with 80,000 sq ft shop, conveyors, forklifts, overhead cranes, and welding stations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience delivering manufactured products.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulatory compliance.
• Strong interest in steel fabrication and structural & misc. metals.
• Strong verbal/written communication and customer service skills.
• Team player in fast-paced environments; multi-tasking.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Ability to secure loads from trailer/flatbed and ground.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fabricated structural steel and misc. metals to customers in the Chicagoland area.
• Move and stage steel inventory in yard for plant operations.
• Assist with receiving and unloading new steel material for production.
