Job summary

Lockport Steel Fabrication is seeking a CDL Driver to join our operations team. You will deliver fabricated steel and metal products throughout the Chicagoland area, while supporting yard operations and material handling. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and professional representation at customer sites.

The ideal candidate has a valid CDL and at least 5 years of delivery experience, with strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset. Competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• CDL license with clean driving record.
• Minimum 5 years delivering manufactured products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fabricated structural steel and miscellaneous metal products to customer locations in the Chicagoland area.
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload steel products per DOT regulations.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintain driver logs.
• Move and stage steel inventory to support production and shipping.
• Assist with receiving and unloading inbound steel material deliveries.
• Coordinate with Logistics Coordinator, shop personnel, and customers for timely deliveries.
• Verify load accuracy and inspect materials before delivery.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow OSHA rules.
