Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a full-time Truck Driver in Phenix City, AL to move and load scrap metal using roll off and end dump equipment, while adhering to DOT regulations. The role requires strong safety practices and clear communication with customers and the office.

Responsibilities include inspecting materials, performing daily safety checks, and maintaining a clean, organized yard. A 3-year CDL with end-dump experience is required; DOT medical and MVR checks apply.

Qualifications

• 3 years of CDL driving experience with consistent end dump work.
• Must pass a DOT medical exam and drug test.
• Background check with a clean MVR and consent to Clearinghouse.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; foreign education acceptable.
• Bilingual English & Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks hauling scrap metal; roll off and end dump required.
• Inspect and determine metal grade for inventory tracking.
• Perform DOT daily operation and safety inspections.
• Communicate with office and customers to determine commodities to load.
• Work independently when driving scrap metal; ensure safe yard operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organize materials for space efficiency.
