Job summary

SA Recycling, a leading scrap metal recycler, seeks a Truck Driver in Phenix City, AL. The role centers on operating roll-off/semi-trucks to collect and return containers, adhering to DOT regulations and safety rules.

You will handle metal loading, grading, and inventory checks while maintaining professional conduct with customers. Responsibilities include performing daily inspections, coordinating with the office, and ensuring safe yard operations.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years of CDL driving experience with consistent job history; end dump required.
• Must pass a medical DOT physical and drug test.
• Must pass a background check; clean MVR with no recent violations and consent to Clearinghouse.
• Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks hauling scrap metal; roll off and end dump required.
• Inspect and determine metal grade for inventory tracking.
• Perform DOT daily operation and safety inspection.
• Communicate with office and customers to determine commodities to load.
• Work independently when driving scrap metal and satisfy customer needs.
