Job summary

Veritiv is hiring a CDL Class A Truck Driver to deliver and pick up stock, ensuring on-time performance and safe handling of shipments. The role requires strict adherence to DOT regulations, strong organizational skills, and customer-facing professionalism in a first-shift role.

Candidates should have a valid Class A CDL, 12+ months of driving experience, and be willing to obtain hazmat endorsement within six weeks. Liftgate experience is preferred, with potential warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must observe all Department of Transportation regulations and maintain a safe driving record.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred and required within first six weeks of hire.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (MHE) and liftgate.
• High attention to detail and safety in handling shipments.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods to on-site and off-site locations following routes and schedules.
• Visually inspect trucks and verify orders are loaded and secured to prevent damages.
• Maintain professional interactions with customers to ensure a positive experience.
• Prepare and file delivery documents and monitor inventory accuracy and availability.
• Adhere to safety instructions to protect health, safety, and the environment.
• Assist with warehouse duties such as loading/unloading and order filling when needed.
