Job summary

Signode Newark, NJ is looking for a professional CDL driver to join our transportation team. You will be responsible for delivering material to customers, inspecting vehicles, planning efficient routes, and ensuring all required paperwork is accurate and complete.

The ideal candidate has a Class A CDL, at least three years of interstate driving experience, a clean safety record, and proficiency with GPS, CB radio, and cab computer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with CDL license.
• Three years’ experience driving CDL interstate with clean safety record.
• Class A CDL with no recent legal incidents (3 years).

Responsibilities

• Delivering material in a timely manner to customers.
• Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance daily.
• Planning routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Completing paperwork, documentation, and data input in accordance with established procedures.
• Collecting and verifying delivery instructions.
• Reporting defects, accidents or violations.
• Performing other related duties as required or directed by supervisor.
