Job summary

Rain for Rent in Mobile, AL is seeking a CDL Class A driver who will drive manual transmission trucks to pick up, deliver, and unload company pipe and equipment while representing the company professionally. You will support installation and service projects, maintain DOT logs, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and help the field team with equipment setups.

A strong safety mindset and good customer relations are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with no major violations.
• Ability to drive manual transmission.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours of service.

Responsibilities

• Drive manual transmission trucks and trailers (GVWR 26,001+ lbs) to pick up, deliver, and unload pipe and equipment.
• Load, secure, and unload materials using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Assist field crew with installation of tanks, pumps, pipes, fittings and filtration systems.
• Complete Job Site Analysis for customer sites where work is performed.
• Interact with customers to obtain signatures for work orders and invoicing.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
• Maintain DOT driver logs according to regulations.
• Comply with FMCSA/DOT regulations and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Complete paperwork (rental orders, logs, etc.) promptly.
• Perform minor emergency roadside repairs.
