Job summary

Maersk is seeking a CDL Class A Driver in Indianapolis, IN to safely transport freight to customers and distribution centers. You will perform inspections, secure cargo, maintain records and provide professional service to customers.

The role supports Monday–Friday, 11:00 start times with no-touch freight and typically 5–6 stops per day over 100–150 miles. Strong safety focus and regulatory compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Current DOT medical certification required.
• Experience with LTL/City driving preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service and compliance standards.
• Ability to accurately complete logs, bills of lading and inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial motor vehicles, including tractor-trailers.
• Transport and deliver freight according to routes, schedules and customer requirements.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Load, secure, inspect and protect cargo during transit.
• Follow DOT regulations, hours-of-service, traffic laws and company policies.
• Maintain logs, delivery documents, bills of lading, inspection reports and other records.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delays, deliveries and vehicle issues.
• Safely maneuver vehicles at loading docks, yards, and customer locations.
• Report accidents, traffic violations, mechanical problems, cargo damage and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean, professional vehicle, work area and appearance.
• Provide courteous and professional service to customers and partners.
• Assist with loading and unloading freight when required.
