Job summary

Veritiv is seeking a CDL Class A Truck Driver in the Joplin, MO area. Responsible for on-time, safe delivery and pickup of stock, with responsibilities spanning driving, loading/unloading, and recordkeeping. Must meet DOT standards, have a clean MVR, and be able to start early at 5:00 a.m.

Hazmat endorsement is preferred and required within six weeks of hire. The role includes potential warehouse duties and requires strong organizational and customer-relations skills to support a

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• 12+ months driving experience.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred; required within six weeks of hire.
• Familiarity with computerized warehouse systems preferred.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment and lift gates.
• Excellent organizational, time management and customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods safely to on-site and off-site locations as scheduled.
• Inspect vehicles and report defects to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and inventory levels.
• Provide professional interactions with customers and coworkers.
• Assist with warehouse duties including loading/unloading when needed.
• Follow safety regulations and company policies at all times.
