Alpine Tree Service in Michigan is seeking a dependable CDL Class A Driver to operate semi-trucks, chip trucks, and trailers, transporting materials to and from job sites while prioritizing safety. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain DOT logs, and assist on site when not driving, with a typical early-morning start and 40+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Clean driving record.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Experience hauling heavy equipment and trailers.
• Ability to operate manual transmissions.
• Must have at least 3 years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL Class A vehicles including chip trucks, log trucks, and equipment trailers.
• Transport heavy equipment such as skid steers, lifts, stump grinders, and other machinery.
• Load and secure materials, and equipment in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain vehicle logs and required DOT documentation.
• Assist crew members on job sites when not driving (loading brush, ground support, equipment setup).
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with crew leaders and office staff.
• Maintain clean and organized trucks and equipment.
