Job summary

A construction service company in Metro Detroit is seeking motivated and licensed 'Class A Drivers' to safely operate trucks. The role includes ensures proper loading, maintaining logs, and completing physical checks. Candidates must possess a commercial driver's license and have a strong work ethic. This position offers competitive pay and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields.
• Able to drive gravel trains, flow boys, leads.
• Pass a DOT regulated drug test.
• DOT-regulated drug test required.
• Must pass employer road test; pay discussed at road test.
• Paid holidays/vacation after 1 year of service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck.
• Dumping loads/asphalt-paving.
• Properly track and document activity log.
• Report issues to dispatch.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean cabin.
• Daily check of tractor fluids.
• Fuel tractors at end of day.
• Work long hours.
• Weekend work with alternate schedule.

We are seeking motivated and licensed 'Class A Drivers' to join our team! You will be responsible for safely operating our truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds gross vehicle weight. If you have experience with gravel trains, leads and flow-boys, D & L Contracting co is the place to be! At our company, we are always looking for hard working drivers. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck/18 speed
• Dumping loads/asphalt-paving
• Properly track and document activity log
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
• Pre-Trip and Post-trip logs
• Maintaining a clean cabin
• Daily check of tractor’s fluid levels
• Fueling up tractors at end of work day
• Long Hours
• Weekend Work (Alternative Work Schedule)
