Job summary

Cohen Recycling is seeking a qualified Class A Driver to join the Middletown team in Ohio. The role focuses on safe, efficient transport of materials with a strong emphasis on reliability and customer service. Benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, and life insurance.

Work is full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule; some weekends may be required. Candidates must hold a CDL, have at least 1 year of CDL experience, maintain a clean driving record, and meet federal regulations and DOT

Qualifications

• CDL license required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a CDL driver.
• Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations.
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations.
• Must meet DOT physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening.
• Ability to lift and move heavy cargo.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Commitment to safety and professional conduct.
• Work in dirty/dusty environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electronic logbook and operate dispatch software.
• Operate equipment such as roll-off and dump trucks.
• Safely load and unload cargo and secure it for transit.
• Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel use.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Adhere to hours-of-service and traffic regulations.
• Communicate status and delays with dispatchers.
• Assist with loading/unloading and freight inspection.
• Operate liftgates, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
• Keep the truck clean and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Follow PPE and safety protocols.
• Provide professional customer service to clients.
