Job summary

Cohen Recycling in Walton, KY is seeking a qualified Class A Driver to join our team. You will transport materials safely to designated destinations and support on-time deliveries while upholding our safety standards.

Expect a full-time role with a stable schedule, opportunities to operate roll-off and dump trucks, and competitive benefits including health, 401(k), PTO and life insurance. Candidates must have a CDL, at least 1 year of experience, and a clean driving record; training is provided

Qualifications

• CDL required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CDL truck driver.
• Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations.
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations.
• Must meet DOT physical and medical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electronic logbook and operate dispatch software.
• Operate equipment such as roll-off and dump trucks.
• Safely load and unload cargo and secure it for transit.
• Plan routes to meet delivery deadlines and optimize fuel efficiency.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Adhere to hours-of-service regulations.
• Communicate with dispatchers and managers about status and delays.
• Assist with loading/unloading and inspecting freight.
• Operate liftgates, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and perform routine maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE usage.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
