Job summary

CORT Tradeshow and Events in Secaucus, NJ is hiring immediately for a Class A CDL Delivery Driver who loads, delivers, and installs furniture at tradeshow and event venues.

You will work with the operations team, follow FMCSA rules, and provide on-site customer service during deliveries and setups. The role requires lifting 100+ pounds, valid CDL, and a safety-first mindset. Weekend availability is expected per business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A driver's license in the state of residency.
• 3 months of tractor-trailer driving experience; 1 year preferred.
• Physically able to move furniture indoors/outdoors, up/down stairs and lift 100+ lbs.
• Able to read and speak English sufficiently for FMCSA requirements.
• Valid DOT Medical Certificate and passing a road test per FMCSA/CORT.
• Acceptable MVR per CORT's Safe Driving Standards.

Responsibilities

• Loading Trucks: Inspect furniture and load safely with correct order.
• Operations Planning & Communication: Attend pre-delivery meetings and communicate with team.
• Truck inspections: Pre/post-trip inspections and prep for shifts.
• Documentation and service logs: Complete required docs and logs.
• Driving: Operate tractor-trailers, box trucks, or sprinter vans safely.
• Deliveries: Install/assemble furniture per floor plans; document with app.
• Pick-ups: Inspect for damage; load and ensure no leftovers.
• Provide onsite customer service: Professional interaction during deliveries.
• Supervise temporary labor: Instruct and supervise temporary staff onsite.
• Perform warehouse duties: Load/unload and organize materials.
