Job summary

CJ Logistics in Eden, NC is seeking a Local CDL-A Driver to operate our Class A truck on local routes, Monday–Friday starting at 10:00am with occasional weekend shifts. You’ll deliver freight safely and maintain open communication with dispatch and customers to ensure on-time service.

You’ll be responsible for live and drop loads, route planning with dispatch, and keeping the truck clean and in good working condition. CJ Logistics offers comprehensive benefits and a growing, team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• CDL-A and clean driving record with FMCSA/DOT compliance.
• Minimum 36 months of full-time Class A tractor/trailer experience in last 3 years.
• No more than two moving violations in last three years; no serious violations; no clearinghouse violations.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screen.
• Must be 21+ and fluent English.

• Operate company-assigned Class A truck safely and responsibly.

• Adjust to local travel conditions (traffic, road closures, etc.).
• Answer customer questions with professionalism and courtesy.
• Communicate any customer concerns or delivery issues to management.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Schedule and Pay

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00am Start Time
• Flexibility to work an occasional weekend day
• Pay: $0.58/mile + $25/stop pay
• Cents per mile increases every 12 months
• Potential $1300 quarterly safety bonuses

What You Bring:

• A Valid Class A CDL Drivers License Required.
• A Minimum of 36 months of experience working in a full-time Class A Tractor/Trailer driving position in the previous 3 years.
• No more than two (2) moving violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last three years (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations or convictions while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No clearinghouse violations in the last 5 years.
• Knowledge of all applicable DOT regulations and Motor Carrier Safety regulations.
• Ability to satisfy FMCSA/DOT requirements including a clean drug and alcohol screen and a passing DOT physical.
• High level of reliability and commitment to the role.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate interactions professionally.
• Must be able to read and speak the English Language sufficiently to converse with the general public and respond to official inquiries to drivers.
• Must meet minimum age and insurability requirements (21 years of age or older) in accordance with company insurance policies and/or federal regulations governing commercial vehicle operation.
