Job summary

Roadway Moving is actively hiring CDL Class A and Class B truck drivers across multiple markets. Local and dedicated long-haul routes are available, all routes run warehouse to warehouse with no touch freight and no residential deliveries.

Principle duties include operating tractors or straight trucks, completing logs and DOT paperwork, and coordinating with dispatch to meet schedules. Requirements include a valid CDL A, clean MVR, DOT medical card, and a minimum of 1 year verifiable driving

Qualifications

CDL Class A license with clean MVR and pass DOT requirements.
Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience.
Current DOT medical card.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
Air brake endorsement is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Operate a Class A tractor trailer or a Class B straight truck between Roadway warehouses.
Haul no touch freight on dedicated and regional lanes.
Complete assigned routes safely and on schedule.
Perform DOT pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Complete trip logs, ELD entries, bills of lading and required DOT documentation.
Stay in contact with dispatch on route progress, delays and issues.
Follow FMCSA hours of service rules and Roadway safety procedures.
Maintain safe, courteous driving practices at all times.
