Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a CDL Class A Driver to transport and unload glass and related products to customers, ensuring safety and compliance with DOT regulations. The role requires flexibility in shift times and the ability to spend two nights out weekly, with strong customer service skills.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of flatbed experience, a valid Interstate CDL, and the ability to read measurement specifications and schedules, along with good English

Qualifications

• Must comply with all DOT requirements including an unexpired Medical Examiners Certificate.
• Flexibility with start/end times.
• Able to read/interpret measurements of glass sizes and schedules and use a tape measure.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Good customer relations and people skills.
• Minimum of 2 years Flatbed experience.
• Available to spend 2 nights out per week.
• Must have an Interstate CDL.

Responsibilities

• Transport and unload product to customers and interact with customers daily.

CDL Class A Driver

What You’ll Get to Do

The Class A Driver is focused on the responsible transporting and unloading of product to customers, while interacting daily with customers to help resolve any issues that may arise and reports to the Fleet Manager.

This role is perfect for an individual who is safety conscious & self-motivated and flexible with shift start and end time. A vital member of the Fleet Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Day to day activities will consist of handling glass and/or metal products, load securement, daily pre and post trip of vehicles, multiple deliveries, and customer service
• Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks, and adherence to all DOT regulations, safety policies, and procedures, including Critical Safety Rules,are essential functions of your job.

What We Are Looking For

• Must be in compliance with all DOT requirements including an unexpired Medical Examiners Certificate
• Flexibility with start / end times
• Must be able to read and interpret mathematical measurements of glass sizes and delivery schedules as well as effectively use a tape measure
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Good customer relations and people skills a must
• Must have minimum of 2 years Flatbed EXP
• Must be available to spend 2 night out per week.
• Must have an Interstate CDL (Able to drive across State Line)
