Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Moorestown, NJ is seeking a full-time Driver Class A responsible for transporting and unloading glass and metal products to customers, while interacting with customers to resolve issues and reporting to the Fleet Manager.

You must be 21+ with 2+ years of accident-free driving experience or DOT training, hold a valid Class A license with a clean record, and be able to obtain a medical certificate. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old with 2+ years of accident-free driving experience or completion of a DOT driver training class.
• Meet all DOT requirements.
• Valid Class A license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to obtain a medical examiner’s certificate of physical qualification.
• Ability to drive tractor trailers and rack glass trucks; may be certified on the Moffet.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough daily pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure trucks operate safely and efficiently.
• Maintain driving records by logging information and updating driver logs and truck performance forms.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Handle loading/unloading of glass and/or metal products, load securement, and coordinate multiple deliveries with customer service.
• Unloading may involve loose, crated, and racked glass/metal and operating boom cranes.
• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to safety rules and procedures, including Critical Safety Rules.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Driver Class A role is focused on the responsible transporting and unloading of product to customers, while interacting daily with customers to help resolve any issues that may arise and reports to the Fleet Manager.

This role is perfect for an individual who is safety conscious & self-motivated and flexible with shift start and end time. A vital member of the Fleet Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Ensure trucks are operating efficiently by performing thorough daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Maintain truck and driving records by reporting information, completing driver logs, and truck performance forms.
• Comply with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations.
• Day-to-day activities will consist of handling and loading/unloading glass and/or metal products, load securement, daily pre and post trip of vehicles, multiple deliveries, and customer service.
• Unloading could include handling loose, crated, and racked glass, metal and associated products, as well as, operating boom cranes.
• Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks, and adherence to all DOT regulations, safety policies, and procedures, including Critical Safety Rules, are essential functions of your job.
• Additional responsibilities as needed by Management.

What We Are Looking For

• At least 21 years old with two (2) years of verifiable, accident-free driving experience, or completed a DOT driver training class from an accredited truck driving school (we will train the right candidate through our comprehensive driver’s training program).
• Meet all DOT requirements.
• Valid Class A license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to obtain a medical examiner’s certificate of physical qualification.
• Ability to drive tractor trailers as well as rack glass trucks. May also be certified on the Moffet (attached to the trailer).

Position Pay Range

$29 - $31 USD
